Job Description:
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain innovative software solutions supporting mission-critical Department of Defense systems. The ideal candidate will work within an Agile environment to develop secure, scalable applications while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.
Duties:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using modern programming languages and best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects while participating in peer code reviews.
- Contribute to software architecture, system integration, and technical documentation.
- Develop software solutions for Linux/Unix environments and support system configuration activities.
- Collaborate with engineers, testers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support Agile Scrum and DevSecOps initiatives while identifying opportunities for continuous process improvement.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field with 5+ years of experience; or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience developing software using C, C++, Java, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
- Experience developing, testing, and debugging applications within Linux and/or Unix environments.
- Familiarity with version control systems, issue tracking tools, and software documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an Agile software development environment.
