Our Business Planning & Reporting team develops and supports applications and platforms that help the company to grow and innovate thanks to true Integrated Business Planning and Certified Reporting across all of the company's divisions. It also empowers Akamai's workforce by providing a Single Business Language built on centralized Meta Data Management.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Developer to join our technical team. This role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining robust database applications and SQL code. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our database systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions.

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, develop, and maintain complex SQL code (XACTLY Connect, Oracle, MS ) including procedures, packages, functions, triggers, and views.
• Creating and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and data models.
• Tuning and optimize SQL queries and SQL code for maximum performance using tools such as Explain Plan or similar.
• Performing data migration, transformation, and ETL tasks ensuring data integrity and consistency.
• Translating business requirements into technical specifications and maintain clear documentation.
• Collaborating with Business Team to troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies.
• Developing and maintain monitoring systems to detect and resolve data anomalies or quality issues proactively.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 2+ years of experience and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Have hands on experience with XACTLY Connect.
• Have a deep understanding of database architectures and tools (e.g. SQL, TOAD, SQL Developer, etc.).
• Be proficient in performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan analysis.
• Have experience in database design, data modeling, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $68,900 - $143,100/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
