What you’ll do here as a Software Engineer in Video Analytics?

As part of our team and of the global Axis Software Team, you will be developing cutting-edge technologies revolving around analyzing video streams to infer high-level information to build products designed to make the world safer and smarter. 

You will write code going into products sold around the world and that can make a difference for our customers. You will be part of all the phases of product-making life from inception to customer feedback. 

You will be tightly collaborating with your colleagues in Sweden who boast a variety of skills, including embedded Linux engineers, AI R&D research engineers, validation engineers, front-end developers and of course peer software engineers. 
 

Who are we looking for/Who are you?

We are first and foremost looking for someone who fits with our team & Axis’ values and spirit. Someone for whom openness, teamwork and collaboration is key in their work life. We want you to have a strong technical background and be autonomous, pragmatic and proactive in suggesting solutions to the technical challenges we are tackling. 

We are looking for someone who is curious and passionate in the production of high quality, robust and reusable code and who has already built products from design to validation. Continuous improvement is important to you and it’s natural for you to share your knowledge so that everybody learns alongside…

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

•    A bachelor or master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related engineering field — ideally with a focus on imaging or video.
•    Proficient in either Python and/or C++, in both Windows and Linux environments.
•    At least 5 years of experience designing, developing and testing software products. 
•    Familiar with Git and/or Gerrit, MLOps, test automation, and CI/CD tools.
•    Knowledge in cameras, imaging, software evaluation and embedded software is a big plus. 

You need to be fluent in English whilst French and/or Swedish are considered bonus skills. Knowing what Fika means is important, though.
