The Opportunity

Join a team building the data foundations that support the firm's AI and analytics capabilities. This role sits within the engineering effort to develop a modern Lakehouse and AI data platform that enables reliable, well-governed and high-performing data use across the firm. This is a hybrid engineering and design role for someone who wants to shape how users interact with complex data infrastructure – and then help build it. You will be comfortable working both in Figma and writing code.

Role Summary

Working across both design and software engineering, you will:

  • Design, build and maintain the user-facing tooling of the Lakehouse platform, owning the design process end to end.
  • Work closely with users to understand their workflows and shape solutions that fit how they work.
  • Partner with stakeholders on design decisions and build on their feedback.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency with Figma, including prototyping and working with design systems.
  • Strong grounding in design thinking and human-centered design.
  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript and React, and a good understanding of web standards and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, whether presenting design work, facilitating meetings, or working with subject matter experts to draw out critical business concepts.
  • Independent thinker, willing to engage, challenge and learn, with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Object-oriented design and programming skills in Java or a comparable language.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and lakehouse solutions (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, Apache Iceberg).
