Job DescriptionA Software Engineer in the Unified Support team is responsible for developing and maintaining IFS's products and internal systems. Depending on experience, performance, competence, and role, the engineer may also engage in design, research, knowledge transfer, and training activities.
The Software Engineer - Unified Support position carries significant responsibilities crucial to the success of our products and customer satisfaction. The incumbent will be expected to:
- Conduct thorough analysis and interpretation of requirements to ensure precise fulfillment of domain needs.
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade software for IFS products, with a strong emphasis on usability, maintainability, security, and performance.
- Analyze and diagnose suspected software faults or technical configuration issues reported by IFS customers and partners with utmost diligence and attention to detail.
- Develop quality-assured, enterprise-grade resolutions where applicable, ensuring the highest standards of software engineering are met.
- Contribute substantively to multiple functional and technical areas within a product, including complex design tasks and intricate debugging processes.
- Rigorously apply best engineering and architectural concepts to all aspects of software development.
- Ensure product performance and maintainability by strictly adhering to IFS' standards, guidelines, processes, and tools.
- Perform comprehensive testing to guarantee the reliability and robustness of developed solutions.
- Actively engage in communication with stakeholders, maintaining a professional demeanor to ensure the solution is fit for purpose and meets all specified requirements.
The role demands a high level of expertise, dedication, and professionalism. The Software Engineer will be expected to consistently deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the exacting standards of IFS and its clients.
Qualifications- A good understanding of software engineering principles, including object-oriented concepts, relational databases and software architectures
- A degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Information Technology and/or related professional qualifications together with industry exposure.
- Previous working experience with Enterprise-grade software is a definite advantage
- Knowledge in .Net framework, Java, Oracle Database and PL-SQL Scripting
- Expertise in Azure and Kubernetes is welcome
- Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
- Good Team player
- The ability to work in a distributed global team set up with 24X7 shift coverage
