Scope of Work:
Capio Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Software Engineer/Tester to provide testing expertise in usability, security (vulnerability and penetration), regression, user acceptance, role-based, defect testing, functional and Selenium based automation testing. The Software Engineer/Tester will be required to research, create and execute test plans, test case scenarios, and test scripts; ensure the quality of test artifacts created is in support of the clients quality assurance efforts; comply with clients project validation and testing metrics, methods, and best practices. Additionally, the Software Engineer/Tester will contribute to the overall quality for the project by providing clear documentation and effective knowledge transfer to the client personnel.
As part of the team, the Software Engineer/Tester will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:
- Task Management
- Monthly Status Report (MSR) : The Contractor shall submit written monthly status reports using the MSR template provided by the client. The reports must contain an overview of the staff tasks and activities accomplished during the previous calendar month; must include an overview of tasks and activities completed, adherence to schedule, issues identified, and work performed; and the work planned for the next reporting period. The report will be due the 15th calendar day of each month following the first full month of service.
- Weekly Status Reports (Written): The Contractor shall submit by the client’s request weekly written status reports to include updates to the project schedule tasks.
- Final Status Report: The Contractor shall develop and submit a Final Status Report, which shall be due thirty (30) calendar days prior to the end of the Agreement. This report shall include the following:
- Summary of all SOW tasks and activities;
- Deliverables;
- Milestone accomplishments;
- Lessons learned; and
- Actual Agreement expenditures versus planned expenditures
- Communications
- The Contractor shall communicate with client’s staff, management, other consultant staff Sponsors, System Integrator staff, interface partners, county staff both written and orally.
- The Contractor shall communicate to the client’s management on critical issues that arise during the course of testing efforts and escalate issues and risks as required.
- Monitoring and Control
- The Contractor shall work collaboratively with the client’s staff and System Integrator testing teams to maintain product and solution quality by adhering to and improving quality frameworks, methods, and practices.
- The Contractor shall ensure the client’s User Acceptance Testing (UAT) is consistent with the client’s Test Plans.
- The Contractor shall participate and attend all meetings as required.
- The Contractor shall work with stakeholders, consultant staff, and/or Covered California and client’s Project staff in support of all activities associated with quality assurance testing support.
- The Contractor shall assist the client’s to provide oversight to System Integrator testing activities.
- The Contractor shall perform test validation and support Sponsor testing activities.
- Testing Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Phase
- The Contractor shall review the System Integrator test plans, scenarios, test cases and test scripts to ensure adherence with requirements and design artifacts.
- The Contractor shall review and execute user acceptance test cases and test scripts aligned to functional and non-functional requirements.
- The Contractor shall conduct the associated testing efforts identified by the project including, but not limited to disaster recovery testing, advocate testing, and release cut over validation.
- The Contractor shall identify and document defects associated with the execution of user acceptance test cases and test scripts.
- Knowledge Transfer and Lessons Learned
- The Contractor shall develop a Knowledge Transfer Plan and Lessons Learned Report to document findings and knowledge transfer-related tasks. The plan should capture, document, track, and report on lessons learned and parking lot items.
- The Knowledge Transfer Plan and Lessons Learned Report will be due sixty (60) days prior to end of Agreement.
- The Contractor shall engage in and complete knowledge transfer training of testing processes and activities to test staff. The Contractor shall provide documentation of all required and applicable test processes and activities.
- The knowledge transfer shall be completed sixty (60) days prior to the end of this Agreement term.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including the requirements, systems design, development, and testing concepts including both waterfall and agile methodologies for complex information technology enterprise systems.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience with System test/User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for *large scale Eligibility and Enrollment government information technology project(s).
“Large-Scale” is defined as a solution that:
Is accessed by at least one thousand (1,000) users at multiple locations;
Has a dollar value of at least ten million dollars ($10,000,000.00); and,
Includes multi-tiered processing, including a consumer or user facing front-end optimized for multiple user interfaces. - A minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing scenario roadmaps; validating, reviewing, and writing scripts from requirements; and implementing the functionality for *large scale government information technology project(s).
“Large-Scale” is defined as a solution that:
Is accessed by at least one thousand (1,000) users at multiple locations;
Has a dollar value of at least ten million dollars ($10,000,000.00); and,
Includes multi-tiered processing, including a consumer or user facing front-end optimized for multiple user interfaces. - A minimum of three (3) years of experience with querying data from Aurora Postgres.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience testing high-volume (more than 10,000 transactions per day), scalable, web applications with different software development life cycles (e.g., waterfall, agile, iterative) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience using testing tools such as SoapUI, React, Jenkins, Gitlab, Selenium, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) or comparable.
- A minimum of five (5) years of total combined experience with testing each of the following: Conversion, JAVA web-based applications, the software interaction with platforms such as ForgeRock, AWS, and Aurora Postgres.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience identifying and documenting test results and discrepancies between approved design documents and application performance.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience testing role-based security, batch jobs, applications on various Internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.), operating systems (Windows, Mac, etc.) and mobile devices.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience testing applications with multiple stakeholders and customers with varied business priorities and varied levels of experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience developing and testing with automation framework using various methodologies (data driven, key word driven or comparable).
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience using Selenium automation/regression testing.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience in testing using Salesforce.
- Must be able to provide a client/user end reference contact information for each applicable project meeting the requirements upon request. The reference contact must be a representative of the company for which the project was developed and have performed a management or supervisory role.
