The PositionRole OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and proactive QA / Test Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be a champion for product excellence, ensuring our software meets strict quality standards and exceeds customer expectations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end testing lifecycle—from analyzing requirements and designing robust test strategies to coding automated test suites and fostering a "built-in quality" mindset across the organization.
Your Main Tasks & Duties- Test Strategy & Execution: Compose, execute, and assess functional and non-functional tests aligned with the defined test strategy to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. + Requirements & Design Review: Review the product backlog, requirements, and specifications for clarity, testability, and traceability. Analyze system designs and architecture with a sharp eye for code quality, risks, and testability.
- Test Case Management: Create, maintain, and review test cases for software across all lifecycle phases within our designated tooling and documentation standards + Test Automation: Build software that tests software by writing automated test code or integrating robust third-party tools into our existing test suites.
- Environment & Infrastructure Management: Configure, manage, and maintain stable and scalable Test Environments + Defect Tracking & Metrics: Execute test cases, analyze results, report/track issues, and verify incoming fixes. Define and monitor relevant quality metrics to track overall product health.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation under your responsibility (including test cases, test results, tooling guides, and best practices).
- Risk & Compliance: Collaborate on product risk assessments by identifying potential failures and ensuring adequate test coverage. Guarantee strict adherence to quality standards, relevant Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), SOPs, and Working Instructions.
- Process Optimization: Provide continuous input to improve testing processes and overall efficiency, heavily leveraging test automation where appropriate.
- QA Initiatives: Actively participate in internal testing improvement initiatives to elevate our engineering standards.
- Mentorship & Culture: Share, coach, and actively train team members both within and outside the department to promote a strong built-in quality mindset.
Who you are
- Experience: Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, or in a similar software testing role.
- Automation Skills: Experience building test frameworks via code (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) or integrating modern third-party automation tools.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to review architectural designs, pinpoint technical risks, and ensure full test traceability.
- Compliance Awareness: Familiarity working within structured environments governed by SOPs, QAPs, and strict quality guidelines is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent collaboration, communication, and coaching skills to advocate for quality across cross-functional teams.
