The Opportunity
As a Software Engineer in Test, you will play a pivotal role in evolving our test infrastructure and driving the quality standards of our software. You enable the software engineers in your team to effectively test their contributions. As an advocate for short feedback cycles and “shifting left” you support our journey to faster and higher quality software releases. In your collaboration with test engineers in other teams, as well as various internal stakeholders, you will drive the internal adoption of both our products, as well as our testing infrastructure.

Your Contributions
- Take a leading role in evolving one of our test automation frameworks and infrastructure, such as focusing on our User Interfaces, the associated internal and public APIs, inspection ML models, and more
- Be a role model for high-quality code, advocate for shifting left, and foster a quality culture across the Interface & Data department
- Collaborate with our Devex champion to provide accessible and actionable feedback to software developers on the quality of their code changes and how they affect the solution quality and reliability
- Improve the testability and traceability of our web software stack as needed and coach peers to ensure their contributions are easy to test and monitor
- Critically evaluate the current systems and processes, and proactively drive change to reach the next level of reliability for our products
- Continuously contribute to improving the agile development process in the team, with a focus on quality
- Occasionally support manual testing campaigns and long-term on-robot tests
Your Profile
- Engineering or science degree with a focus on computer science or robotics
- Excellent knowledge of testing and test automation across the whole software development lifecycle (unit, integration, system, interface, non-functional)
- Excellent at designing and integrating test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. jest, karma etc.)
- Excellent ability to self-coordinate and work towards open-ended goals under rapidly changing priorities and evolving organization
- Strong command of typescript, Angular, NestJS, and other common web technologies
- Strong command of C++, Python and a solid understanding of object-oriented software design
- Good understanding of Linux, Git, CI/CD
- Experience with issue tracking and test management tools

- Experience with docker
- Experience with ROS and Robot Framework
- Experience with MQTT
