Responsibilities: Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and their causes. Test system modifications for finance related applications to prepare for implementation.
Lead and oversee quality assurance process across all phases of application development lifecycle for SAP Finance and other integrated non-SAP applications, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards. Identify potential risks in the testing SAP Finance and Controlling processes as well as other integrated non-SAP applications and proactively create mitigation strategies to avoid disruptions to the project timelines. Engage with SAP Finance product owners, finance business users, engineering and technical project teams and key business stakeholders to gather and refine finance requirements, translating them into actionable test strategies and plans. Design, write, and execute comprehensive and end to end test cases, scripts, and checklists for new features and enhancements for SAP Finance application modules like accounts receivables, credit management, contract accounting, accounts payables, treasury, fixed assets, month end close, controlling, group reporting and consolidation. Analyze, debug, report, and track software defects, collaborating with development teams and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of defects. Perform root cause analysis of defects to identify whether they arise from design, configuration, integration errors or new requirements and report to project stakeholders. Design and implement end-to-end automation workflows to validate SAP finance end-to end processes and other integrated systems, optimizing the balance between manual as well as automated testing and ensuring accuracy and consistency in results. Develop and maintain a robust QA automation framework tailored to project needs of SAP Finance and other integrated applications. Evaluate and recommend suitable testing tools and frameworks (commercial, open-source, or proprietary) for optimal project efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, SAP and non-SAP product owners, business finance teams, and QA engineers across global teams to align testing strategies with project goals for SAP Finance enhancements, upgrades and rollouts. Communicate effectively in an Agile environment, ensuring that SAP Finance projects testing milestones are met, and quality benchmarks are achieved. Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy for SAP Finance and Controlling application. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to align testing efforts with SAP Finance project timelines. Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, working closely with finance business users and stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met. Plan and execute comprehensive regression tests to ensure SAP Finance and Controlling application’s existing functionalities remain stable with new changes and enhancements. Conduct thorough integration and end to end testing to ensure seamless interaction and functionality across different SAP modules including finance, non-finance and other integrated upstream and downstream systems. Maintain detailed and thorough documentation of test plans, cases, and results, ensuring transparency and accessibility for team members and stakeholders. Ensure that all testing activities and results are auditable and compliant with organizational policies and external regulations. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing, promoting best practices and continuous learning within the team and across the organization.
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Financial Technology, Computer Science, Accounting or related field and eight (8) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in an IT/software-related occupation.
Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted.
Special Requirements:
Position requires at least eight (8) years of experience in each of the following skills:
- Utilize knowledge of various functional modules of SAP S4 Hana to design, develop and test SAP enhancements, upgrades and global rollout projects
- Utilize knowledge of specialized testing skills to perform component tests, integration tests, E2E tests, security authorization tests and regression tests for complex SAP enhancements, upgrades and global rollout projects and programs
- Utilize knowledge of Quality Assurance to ensure software quality for SAP and non-SAP applications for domestic and global projects and programs.
- Utilize knowledge of defect tracking and reporting to analyze, debug, report, and track SAP and non-SAP application defects to ensures software reliability and functionality.
- Utilize knowledge of QA Automation to design and develop a QA automation framework and strategy, self-healing script development and creation of re-usable assets to reduce regular maintenance cost of software testing activities and increase productivity in software quality assurance.
- Utilize knowledge of data processing competence in designing and developing automation workflows for processing large data sets.
- Utilize knowledge of finance domain as well as SAP and non-SAP applications in developing and executing tests scenarios for SAP information systems and applications that process financial data.
- Utilize knowledge of Project Management and Agile Leadership to ensure smooth project management and process improvements, enhancing overall operational efficiency

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $163,613 - $175,000 per year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
