Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Development Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mission-critical communication products. As a Software Test Development Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing product specifications, developing and executing targeted test cases, and identifying and verifying defects to prevent them from reaching our end-users – the first responders and professionals who rely on our technology every day. This is more than just testing software; you'll be directly contributing to the safety and effectiveness of those who serve our communities.

Job Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly understand product requirements and translate them into comprehensive test cases.
- Develop and execute test cases to verify compliance with product specifications and industry standards.
- Analyze test results, meticulously document defects, and track issues through resolution.
- Set up and maintain test environments, ensuring proper configuration and stability for accurate test execution.
- Define and implement test automation processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts, including developing test scripts and automation frameworks.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging testing methodologies, and innovative tools.
- Collaborate effectively with development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment on quality goals.
- Provide clear and concise technical know-how, documentation, and training to test and other business functions.
- Perform necessary analysis required for the project, identifying and solving complex technical problems requiring proper evaluation and analysis, as well as make decisions that positively impact the project and is aligned with company’s success
- * Support the Test Manager in achieving their strategic goals for the Test Team.

Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
- Familiarity with various coding languages (e.g., C, C++, Python) and the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
- Working knowledge of test management and defect tracking software (e.g., Jira, ALM).
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to dissect complex system architectures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across different design centers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to creatively resolve execution failures.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and regression testing practices will be an added advantage.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Robot Framework) will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning as applied to software testing will be an added advantage.
- Candidate must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
