The Solution Engineering team at BioIntelliSense plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the performance and reliability of our medical devices and systems. This team focuses on existing products throughout their lifecycle, addressing issues related to product performance, maintenance, and continuous improvement. As a Solution Engineeryou will contribute by collaborating with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve software-related issues, applying your expertise in software engineering principles to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. Your role will involve identifying and implementing software changes, modifications, and enhancements to improve product performance and reliability. Additionally, you will provide technical support to internal teams and customers, participate in testing and validation efforts, and actively monitor software performance and data analytics. Your contributions will directly impact the stability, functionality, and security of our medical devices, ensuring that they continue to meet the highest standards and deliver optimal patient care. 

What You Will Be Doing

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve complex software issues encountered by end-users. 
  • Investigate and analyze customer-reported problems to determine root causes and propose effective solutions. 
  • Develop and implement software patches, bug fixes, and maintenance updates to address identified issues and improve product stability. 
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software systems to ensure quality and reliability. 
  • In addition to these responsibilities, Solution Engineers are also expected to rotate through the on-call duties. When on-call, you’ll be responsible for monitoring the system status, handling tickets escalated from non-engineering teams, and responding to incidents. 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Scientific discipline 
  • Strong technical skills and passion for building products. 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-directed and independent with the ability to perform with minimal direct supervision.
  • Experience with Python or similar languages. 
  • Experience with GIT 

  • PREFERRED
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Scientific discipline 
  • Experience with: 
  • Full-stack web development 
  • Mobile app development 
  • Bluetooth (BLE) devices 
  • AWS 
  • Google Cloud Platform 
  • Practice test-driven development, pair programming, and continuous integration
  • Healthcare start-up experience a plus
