Main Responsabilities
o This position will be working at the Enterprise Technology Engineering Center, assigned to a software design team that supports Blue River Technologies.
o Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using a Python-based test framework, ensuring quality and reliability across product releases.
o Implement, run, and validate automated tests on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and simulation testbeds to ensure accurate system behavior before field deployment.
o Enhance and support the internal test automation framework by adding new features, improving robustness, and ensuring compatibility with evolving system requirements.
o Collaborate closely with BRT software, QA, and field testing teams to interpret requirements, gather feedback, and translate system behaviors into automated test coverage.
o Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve test failures by analyzing logs, system behavior, and framework interactions across Linux-based environments.
o Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for automation, reducing manual testing effort, and optimizing execution time.
o Follow Agile methodology with a Scrum framework for software development.
What Skills You Need
o Object-Oriented Programming with Python for test automation
o Testing frameworks
o Bazel: create/modify/build targets
o Proficiency in Linux CLI for development environments
o Version control with Git/GitHub/Graphite
o SSH: sessions and key management
o Ability to interpret requirements and convert them into automated test cases
o Understanding of firmware (Embedded Software) development
o Knowledge of embedded systems
o Knowledge of Python scripting language
o Basic knowledge of Embedded Linux / RTOS
o Basic knowledge with debugging tools
o Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
What Makes You Stand Out
o Web automation (Playwright).
o Knowledge of CAN protocol.
o Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail).
o Experience editing and managing YAML configurations for CI/CD pipelines.
Education
o Digital Systems, and Robotics Engineering
o B.S. Mechatronics Engineering
o Electrical/Electronic Engineering
o Computer Science or similar.
