About the Software Engineer, Search Quality Position
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Software Engineer, Search Quality to join the Stairwell team. This role is ideal for someone with 3-5 years of experience in search who is passionate about optimizing search algorithms and ensuring data quality. As a Software Engineer, Search Quality, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the accuracy, efficiency, and relevance of our search functionality, which is central to our platform's success.
Software Engineer, Search Quality Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize search algorithms to improve the relevance and accuracy of search results within the Stairwell platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and data science, to define search quality metrics and goals.
- Conduct rigorous testing and analysis to identify and address issues affecting search performance.
- Design, implement, and maintain high scale search, and search quality, and data quality services in production
- Monitor and evaluate search performance regularly, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in search technologies and industry best practices.
Software Engineer, Search Quality Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in search engineering or a related field, with a strong focus on search quality.
- Proficiency in one or more search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr, Lucene) and data processing frameworks.
- Solid understanding of search algorithms, relevance tuning, and data indexing techniques.
- Experience with data quality management and data validation practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
- Familiarity with the security industry is a plus.
Additional Information: Minimum Salary of $180,000 - $220,000 + equity + benefits.
