Software Engineer, SDET
This position will work with the Commerce Technology teams supporting both the Walt Disney World and Disneyland suite of web and mobile applications. The individual for this position should have a passion for analysis, design, implementation, and testing of operations-based work. We seek forward-thinking team members who are passionate about delivering quality products and enjoy working closely with business partners on both strategic and tactical challenges. The ideal candidate should have good verbal and written communication skills, be able to work independently as a self-starter, utilize good time management skills, and function well within a diverse team.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the testing lifecycle including test planning, test design, implementation, execution and test reporting.
- Work closely with development, product, and QA teams to define test cases and requirements.
- Perform test execution for functional, automation, and regression testing.
- Analyze test results, track defects, and collaborate with teams to resolve issues.
- Support the ongoing maintenance and expansion of automation frameworks and tools.
- Help manage and organize test data for effective test coverage.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years software test experience in web and mobile (iOS and Android).
- Experience with Agile testing methodologies, best practices & collaboration.
- Understanding of web technologies, including web services, web application servers and RESTful APIs.
- Clear and effective communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills, self-motivation and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to analyze or develop processes and suggest improvements effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and adaptable to quickly changing business needs and innovative technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with device testing using Sauce Labs.
- Experience with Python or JavaScript.
- Experience in API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.
- Experience with analyzing and debugging network traffic, monitoring API requests, and validating applications using Charles Proxy.
Required Education:
- B.S degree in Computer Science or other Technology related field or work experience
The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $95,300 to $127,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
