Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge security technologies to join our Runtime Encryption team. In this role, you will help design, develop, and implement innovative solutions that enhance data security through the use of confidential computing. This is a unique opportunity to work on the frontier of data privacy, cryptography, and secure computing to protect sensitive data in use, at rest, and in transit.
What you’ll do (Duties and Responsibilities):
- Develop tools and SDKs for confidential computing platforms.
- Support other teams within Fortanix to use tools related to confidential computing platforms developed internally
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions that meet security and performance standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in security and confidential computing.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure best practices in software development, and maintain high standards of code quality.
- Drive the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and processes to improve development efficiency and product quality.
What you’ll need (Basic Qualifications)
- A passion for low-level software (mainly x86)
- A knack for higher level construct to ensure code quality (e.g., Rust)
- Knowledgeable of the Linux kernel
- Dedication to be part of a small, young team and help it grow its expertise
- At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with C/C++ or Rust
- Bachelor or Master in Computer Science, Information Security or related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise
- Knowledge of low-level security and security mitigations and a strong desire to grow your expertise where required
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies, including CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
