About the Role
The Requirement Engineer is responsible for analysing, interpreting, understanding and developing customer requirements for the embedded system development within HARMAN infotainment systems. This role will interface with the Harman development, test team, customer, platform software engineers, and other team members for the specific customer program
What You Will Do
- Engineer should be able to clarify the requirements to all stake holders and act as interface with customers for any open point clarification
- Responsible for analyzing and understanding of the module specific Customer requirements (CRS) and change requests and for defining/documenting the resulting features in the (Technical Requirements System) TRS-SW
- Responsible for linking the module specific CRS entries to the TRS-SW to ensure 100% CRS coverage
- Responsible for Requirement grooming, and Jira task creation from the groomed requirements
- Knowledge on DXL will be added advantage
- Responsible for requirement analysis, good to have prior experience on story writing, grooming
What You Need to be successful
- 4+ years in Automotive experience working as a Requirements Engineer/System engineer.
- Hands on experience in handling features like CAN, Diagnosis, Vehicle Interface, Tuner, Media, Power management, security, Bluetooth connectivity, Navigation, Speech.
- Must have prior working knowledge in DOORS/DNG Requirements Management process, Scrubbing and importing customer requirements into DOORS, obtain traceability with customer requirement and low-level feature list, and with test case document.
Bonus Points if You Have
- Should be able to guide team technically, involved in technical discussion, customer interaction.
- Willing to work as Requirement Engineer

- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
- This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
