Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation scripts/utilities for GUI automation testing.
- Analyze software requirements and derive comprehensive test cases, documentation, standards, and procedures.
- Design, create, and execute detailed software test cases, including clear steps and expected results.
- Accurately record and analyze test results to validate functionality and recommend corrective actions.
- Identify software defects, log them in the bug tracking system, and follow through until verification and closure.
- Perform regression and sanity testing as required.
- Collaborate with developers to analyze issues and reproduce customer-reported problems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Linux OS and basic command-line operations.
- Solid programming/scripting skills in Python, Shell, or C/C++; experience in automation testing is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (black-box and white-box); prior testing experience preferred.
- Ability to analyze software requirements and produce test cases, descriptions, and documentation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English (oral and written).
- MS or BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Highly motivated, quick learner, self-starter, and effective team player; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
