About our organization: As an engineer, you'll be joining our growing Aurora Software department which has 200+ Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, and Network Engineer peers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. The new Product Owner will define and prioritize the product backlog, align stakeholder goals, and guide development teams to deliver high‑value features on schedule.
Basic Qualifications:
- Level 4: Bachelor’s degree in science with 8+ years of software development experience; 6+ years with a Master's; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Requires an active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application.
- 5+ years professional Java development experience.
- Firm understanding of version control using Git and workflows on platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
- Demonstrated success with Agile processes.
- Experience with Containerization, Kubernetes, and/or Helm charts
- Experience with Atlassian tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the decomposition of software requirements
- Experience debugging code and conducting code peer reviews
- Able to motivate a large agile team that supports multiple products
- Able to handle prioritization with requests coming from multiple customers
- Proven history of delegation
