Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) in Beavercreek, Ohio is seeking Full Stack Web Developers with DevSecOps and automation experience. We are looking for engineers who enjoy building high‑quality software, automating everything they can, and working in modern cloud and microservices environments.

You will participate in the full software development lifecycle with a concentration in software engineering for web‑based systems integrated into a microservice, cloud‑based architecture. You will work closely with other software developers and stakeholders to:

What You’ll Do

  • Support the team in delivering high‑quality software on schedule.
  • Complete work both independently and as part of an Agile team.
  • Solve complex problems through innovative and creative solutions.
  • Collaborate with software designers and engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of software systems.
  • Regularly demonstrate progress to customers and stakeholders.

Candidates may be considered for Software Engineer (Level 2) or Principal Software Engineer (Level 3) based on qualifications and experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Software Engineer (Level 2):
    • High school diploma with a minimum of 6 years of software development experience
      OR bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience
      OR master’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field with 0 years of experience
  • Principal Software Engineer (Level 3):
    • High school diploma with a minimum of 9 years of software development experience
      OR bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field with a minimum of 5 years of software development experience
      OR master’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field with a minimum of 3 years of software development experience
  • Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD automation
  • Experience with Helm and Kubernetes
  • Exposure to / experience with microservicesSwagger, and API definitions
  • Working knowledge of Agile development processes
  • Experience with modern IDE tools and testing mechanisms
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with small technical teams
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre‑requisite)

Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
