Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
As a Software Engineer - Platforms in the Product Engineering team, you will design, build and operate robust, scalable and secure platforms that enable fast and reliable delivery. You will champion automation and observability, solve complex problems, and work across squads that support business critical payment systems.
Ko tō mahi | What you’ll do
Design, build and maintain Jenkins or CloudBees pipelines for consistent infrastructure and application delivery across environments.
Create and manage infrastructure as code with Terraform, and use Chef or Ansible for configuration management.
Develop automation using Bash, Python or Ruby to remove toil and improve efficiency.
Implement and run observability with logging, tracing and metrics using tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
Operate and improve our OpenShift platform for deploy, scale and lifecycle management of containerised services.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate Java based services into platform workflows.
Support production platforms, including an on call rotation for critical incidents.
Continuously improve reliability, security and developer experience.

2 plus years of platform engineering experience.
Daily experience with OpenShift operations.
Strong skills with Terraform, plus Chef and Ansible.
Proven delivery of CI and CD pipelines with Jenkins or CloudBees.
Scripting with Bash, Python or Ruby.
Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
Analytical problem solving, accountability and a continuous improvement mindset.
