Job Overview
This associate level position is within the IT department and reports to the director of Platform Engineering. Our mission is to build the future technology stack for our software development teams to leverage. The platform technologies we build will support the firm’s entire investment process from portfolio construction to trading and trading analytics, middle and back office functions. We are seeking an associate level software developer to work with our team of experts, building new technology frameworks that allow users to access data and existing systems across the entire Arrowstreet Investment Process.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the team on designing and implementing software platforms for hosting micro services, event-driven real-time communication between components, as well as a common web platform for micro front ends. A successful candidate must be passionate about technology and understand software design patterns. They should be self-motivated, process-driven and a problem solver. This role is responsible for designing software solutions which take investment ideas and bring them to life. Collaboration with other software developers and teams is a critical part of the success in this particular role.

Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience with Python and/or C#
- Experience with DevOps / CI/CD pipelines, and Agile Scrum
- Experience with Cloud, preferably AWS
Additional Preferences
- Experience with working with message / event based architectures would be a plus
- Experience with Docker / Kubernetes / Serverless
- Experience with automated testing frameworks would be a plus
- Understanding of Platform Engineering or Composable Application experience
- AWS Cloud Certification at developer level
