About the role/teamAs part of our Ecosystem Tribe, the Hermes team works alongside other teams which develop complex integrations (or “apps”) for our automation platform. Collectively, these teams aim to integrate Make with every third-party service our users require.
Hermes focuses on specialized integrations, which are fundamental to Make's success, underpinning millions of user scenarios on our platform. Notable examples of our work include the Data Store, enabling data persistence within scenarios, and Make AI Tools, which integrates AI capabilities into user workflows.
What you’ll do- Develop advanced apps and modules for our automation platform.
- Collaborate with other teams to drive technical excellence.
- Embrace automation - especially with AI.
- Design, build, and optimize features for scalability, performance, and usability.

You produce readable, well-documented, and tested code. You can have a funded technical discussion and back your opinions with facts and data. You are a team player.
In particular, we’d like you to have the following:
- Proven experience with NodeJS and Typescript (3+ years)
- Experience with relational and document databases (PostgreSQL and MongoDB preferred)
- Optionally, experience with Docker, software containerization, and microservices architectures
- Proficient in both verbal and written English (we’re an international team)
- Agile mindset and experience in methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- ⚙️ Languages: Node.js, Typescript
- 🛢️ Databases & Messaging: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Redis, Elasticsearch
- ☁️ Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS
- 🚚 CI/CD: GitHub, CircleCI, ArgoCD
- 🔎 Monitoring: DataDog
