DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions independently. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Java Developer, System Analyst, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Developing front-end web applications using JavaScript and React; Windows and Linux systems; Running Linux shell in Windows systems; Developing responsive React applications that adhere to modern UI application design and implementation patterns, ensuring compatibility across web browsers including Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, and mobile devices including iPhone, iPad, and Android phones; Developing UI applications that are compliant with ADA standards; UI automation testing; UI troubleshooting; Developing cloud- native Microservices using Java Spring Boot to build high-performance REST APIs that retrieve data from both SQL and NoSQL databases, hosted either on-premises or in the public cloud; Using Java Spring Security to develop secure applications and build resilient services; Writing unit tests with at least one unit test framework, such as Jest, Cypress, Junit, Spring Framework, or Mockito; API performance testing; API performance troubleshooting on both on-premises and public cloud environments; Gradle or Maven. This position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: Developing and deploying CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to support blue-green deployments for both front-end UI applications including JavaScript and React and back-end applications including Java Spring Boot; Packaging applications in Container such as Docker Container; UI analytics; Automated Rest API tests. This position requires one (1) year of experience with the following: Running Linux shell commands to use Git for code checkout and commits; Using NPM commands to run React UI applications; Public cloud focusing on AWS services including AWS Gateway, AWS Lambda, and ECS services; Troubleshooting issues using IntelliJ and VSCode on Windows systems; Troubleshooting issues in Docker containers running on both Windows systems and Linux systems.
