The Impact You’ll Be Contributing to Moloco:
- We're seeking a senior software engineer to help us design, develop, expand and maintain the ad serving engine of our next generation Moloco Commerce Media (MCM) product.
The Opportunity:
- Develop new features of our customer exposed APIs impacting customers directly
- Contribute to the continuous evolution of our back end service
- Work on a sophisticated ad serving application built as a highly distributed system
- Write server side code that can handle a large amount of traffic coming from world wide
- Build system on top of public cloud infrastructure
- Implement and utilize various data structures that fit the need of various applications
- Constantly improve system efficiency both to lower latency and lower cost
- Design and implement advanced logging and monitoring mechanisms
- Design and implement fraud prevention/detection algorithms through analysis of complex time-series data
- Collaborate with and lead other SW/ML engineers and data scientists
- Design features while implementing security measures for our systems in various layers
- Ideate new features and architecture to improve our advertising platform with an uncapped growth mind set
How Do I Know if the Role is Right For Me?:
- 6+ years of software development experience on backend with high exposure to large scale distributed systems
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
- Excellent software development skills and fluency in at least one server programming language (Go, Java, C, C++, Rust etc.)
- Experience working in Cloud/Big Data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- System Design and development skills; from gathering requirements to design to implementation to testing to production
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and strategic planning
Preferred:
- Experience working in software development for ad tech
- Experience working closely with PMs to refine requirements while leading other engineers
- Experience working closely with ML engineers and data scientists
