About the Role

Our team is growing and we are looking for talented engineers to join us and build a world-class ML-first self-driving solution. The ML Infra team is building scalable machine learning infrastructure and distributed training solutions to optimize and accelerate ML development at Nuro.

About the Work

Depending on your skill set and areas of interest you will work on some or all of the following:

• Build up a model serving platform for efficient large-scale simulations and reinforcement learning (RL) training
• Maintain observability and monitoring for critical services like ML training, data dumping, and deployment.
• Implement tools to track the model development lifecycle for an efficient deployment and evaluation process.

About You

• 2+ years of relevant work experience or an equivalent experience in Masters/PhD with 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong coding skills in Python or C++.
• You have relevant exposure to the ML development life cycle and ML models.
• You are highly productive, motivated, and are a strong team player. 
• You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments and learn quickly by doing.

Nice to have

• You have experience in building a cloud-based distributed training platform.
• You have experience profiling and optimizing performance bottlenecks for deep learning models.
• Experience with model & data parallel training frameworks like PyTorch FSDP
• Experience with on-device ML deployment frameworks like ONNX, TensorRT or Nvidia DriveOS.

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $138,225 and $207,575 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
