Responsibilities:
Develop software requirements by gathering the project's different stakeholders’ requirements, consolidating them and identifying any conflicting requirements.
Participate in system and customer requirements analysis for new products. Responsible for system and customer requirements analysis for projects that have a high reuse factor.
Participate in high level design architecture definition for the new products. Responsible for high level design for the projects that have a high reuse factor.
Design complicated software component(s) based on defined high-level design.
Integrate overall software components based on the project’s architecture. This can include traveling to customer sites to ensure smooth delivery.
Perform technical reviews on software component design, code, and component test, and integrate test strategy and plan.
Present work progress continuously through active participation of daily & weekly project meetings (Internal and external with other Valeo sites)
Develop the work breakdown structure and contribute to the estimation of the different project’s activities.
Contribute effectively in the improvement of standard process, guidelines, checklists, and tools.
Ensures the efficiency of the validation techniques and standards used by projects
Perform the responsibilities of the previous technical level as per the projects need.
Extensive experience in ASPICE-compliant software development, with a strong understanding of quality processes in automotive or embedded systems.Support in performing software integration on the test bench and on the vehicle to ensure the proper functionality.
Analyze the test reports and issues reported from the customer and lead the action plan to resolve them ensuring customer satisfaction.
Lead local the warranty issue related to SW and capitalize LLC with PG.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in automotive embedded software development.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages for embedded systems in addition to experience with scripting languages like Python.
Experience with microcontrollers like Renesas, NXP, Aurix.
Strong understanding of AUTOSAR architecture, including concepts such as service-oriented communication and application lifecycle management is a plus.
Experience with using Vector tools (CANoe, Davinci, VTest Studio, etc) with different types of automotive communication protocols such as LIN, CAN, and Ethernet.
Experience with hardware interfacing protocols used in embedded systems including UART, SPI, I2C.
Experience with software development tools and methodologies, such as version control systems (e.g., Git), application lifecycle management (e.g. Codebeamer), defect management system, and agile development practices.
Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. Codebeamer, DOORS).
Strong experience using debugging tools like scopes, logical analyzers, etc.
Experience with software automatic and manual testing and test report analysis.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Other Specifications
Experience in software development for lighting systems in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and best practices for automotive software development is a plus.
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing frameworks for automotive software.
