Overview of the position
We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer Level II to join our IT Team based in the United States! The Software Level II will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of customer and employee applications. Additional responsibilities include the advice and design of the required architecture or infrastructure around software requirements.
The successful candidate will:
Oversee the software design, development and testing of their applications using:
- Programming languages such as .NET, JavaScript, Angular, ReactJS.
- Databases: Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server.
- Software tools such as unit testing, version control (GIT), continuous integration.
- Understand requirements and translate them in software that helps users to increase their productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Production support and troubleshooting issues based on support tickets.
- Review SQL queries/stored procedures/triggers/indexes by other developers for adherence to standards and performance issues.
- Interact with developers for requirements gathering.
- Do impact analysis of existing applications and suggest ways of incorporating new requirements.
- Modify/write new stored procedures to meet the business requirements.
- Improve existing design.
- Maintain standards compliance.
- Collaborate with developers and management to report development progress and escalate issues requiring attention.
- Write Web API to utilize and expose data for the application.
Education:
- Computer Science or IT related degree and prior professional experience.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in .NET development.
- 3+ years’ experience designing and building software applications
Required Skills:
- Fluency in English
- Able to develop, document, test, manage and maintain changes to the system on demand.
- Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes.
- Solid understanding of ORM tools like Entity Framework/ADO.NET.
- Proven ability to write APIs with token-based authentication and authorization.
Other Desired Skilled Skills:
- WebAPI (Contract-First) better with security experience
- Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL (better as most recent version)
- Experience with automated test tools and continuous integration tools (Sonarqube etc)
- Kubernetes
- Kafka
- Proven experience with Docker
- Proven experience with Micro Services Architecture
- Proven experience with Open API (OpenAPI Contract-First)
- Proven experience with any of CQRS, DDD, Event Sourcing concepts
