Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Principal Software Engineer – Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The selected Modeling and Simulation Engineer will support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the System Performance and Analysis - Simulation Team. This role is responsible for providing technical contributions and guidance to modeling and simulation products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Basic Qualifications:
Senior Principal Software Engineer – Level 4: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 6 years of related experience, or a PhD and 4 years of related experience.
Experience with the Atlassian tool suite and software version control tools such as Git and Bitbucket
Experience with Unit Test and System Test Development
Experience with C, GoLang, ADA, and/or Python
Exceptional critical thinking and communication
Capable of working both independently and within a team environment.
Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
Must be able to work on-site, in office
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with simulation and simulation frameworks
Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
Experience with Bamboo, Jenkins, Fortify, Coverity, SQL Databases
Experience with containers and container development
Active Security+ certification
Skills Required
