Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to find Data and Algorithm Analyst supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Aurora, CO.
Job duties will include but are not limited to: Our Space program is in need of personnel that can review data collection and determine satisfactory data from noise/interference and other data determined to be unsatisfactory. Determine if ratio of amount of satisfactory data vs unsatisfactory data is acceptable and meets requirements. Once unsatisfactory data is removed from data set, process satisfactory results with multiple algorithms sets and verify processing results are acceptable and meets requirements. Feedback processing results (both acceptable and unacceptable) into algorithm design for processing enhancements and new algorithm development, along with further processing automation enhancements. Report collection and processing results to the technical leadership project
Basic Qualifications:
Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 5+ years of relative experience; Master's with 3+ years of relative experience; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Level 4: Bachelor’s degree in Science with 8+ years of relative experience; Master's with 6+ years of relative experience; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Requires an active DoD Top-Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility, at time of application.
Tool familiarity: Python, specifically strong with numpy, pandas, and matplotlib. Matlab and other tools to process and model RF signals
Additional skills needed: Linux and script execution. Troubleshooting Data collection and processing bugs driving to resolution to include interaction with HW.
Periodicity: Daily processing and troubleshooting, weekly reporting
Skills Required

- Level 4: Bachelor's in Science +8 years, Master's +6 years, or +4 years experience in lieu of degree
- Active DoD Top-Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility at time of application
- U.S. Citizenship (required for positions with government clearance)
- Proficiency with Python including NumPy, pandas, and matplotlib
- Experience with MATLAB and tools to process and model RF signals
- Linux familiarity and script execution (shell scripting)
- Troubleshooting data collection and processing bugs, including interaction with hardware
