Northrop Grumman's Space Sector is seeking a Software Engineer - Level 3 or 4 to join our team in Gilbert, AZ.
This requisition can be filled at a level 3 Principal Software Engineer or a level 4 Sr. Principal Software Engineer. This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future. Additionally, the candidate must be able to travel to Redondo Beach, CA for approximately 4 consecutive weeks for required training.
In this role, you will develop and sustain several mission operational SW product lines, as well as develop new capabilities. You will join a large team comprising of multiple subsystems, each with a specialized software focus. We are looking for an energetic and passionate software engineer to join our team as we work to provide innovative solutions to complex issues in support of our national security mission.
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience; OR Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR PhD with 1 year experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Must have Active SCI Access at time of application OR an Active TS Clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain SCI Access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company prior to start date
Advanced Object-Oriented programming skills
Proficiency with C++ programming
Knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux operating system

Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; OR Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR PhD with 4 years experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
Experience developing in a Linux environment using git
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
Active TS/SCI security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
