Modivcare is looking for an experienced Software Engineer Technical Lead to join our team. This position is responsible for the design, development, and support of new and existing software applications while leading development projects and mentoring engineers across the full delivery lifecycle.

Acts as a subject matter expert in front-end UI, middleware, or back-end service layer design and development.
Leads projects across predominantly Java-based technologies and ensures timely, quality delivery.
Collaborates with project managers, architects, analysts, and engineers to align software development with business goals.
Manages full lifecycle development of business applications within a microservices architecture.
Guides developers at the coding level and provides direct technical support.
Leads design meetings, develops system and data architecture, and authors technical documentation.
Participates in code reviews and release management.
Acts as scrum master when needed and works cross-functionally with IT teams and external vendors.
Presents product demonstrations to stakeholders and participates in strategic IT initiatives.
May participate in other projects or duties as assigned.
Occasional business travel may be required.

Bachelor’s degree in a technical computer discipline required; Computer Science degree preferred.
Ten (10) plus years of industry experience.
Previous experience in the healthcare or insurance industry preferred.
Expert-level knowledge in enterprise programming systems, object-oriented programming, and multiple programming languages.
Advanced proficiency in Java and related frameworks.
Familiarity with microservice architectures and enterprise-level relational databases.
Experience with cloud-deployed applications and modern source control systems.
Skilled in front-end technologies including Angular, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
Proficient in test-driven development and unit/mocking frameworks.
Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in Agile software development environments using industry-standard application lifecycle tools.
Salary: $140,000-192,500
This role is bonus eligible based on company and individual performance.
