Location: Fully Onsite Great River, NY or Overland Park, KS
We’re excited to welcome an Software Engineer to our MyAvatar team. This role is designed for recent graduates or engineers at the beginning of their careers who are eager to learn, grow, and build a strong technical foundation in a collaborative, fully onsite environment.
What You’ll Do- Learn and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions for the MyAvatar platform
- Write and improve code using Java and .NET, with guidance from experienced engineers
- Participate in code reviews and team meetings to learn best practices and development standards
- Collaborate closely with teammates in an onsite environment
- Build your skills through real-world projects, feedback, and mentorship
- Proficiency or hands-on experience with Java and .NET (coursework, internships, co-ops, or projects welcome)
- A foundational understanding of software development concepts and object-oriented programming
- Willingness and ability to work fully onsite in either Great River, NY or Overland Park, KS
- Strong curiosity, a growth mindset, and eagerness to learn
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Internship, co-op, or academic project experience
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
- Structured mentorship and support for early-career growth
- Hands-on experience working on a real product within the MyAvatar team
- An in-person environment that encourages learning, collaboration, and asking questions
- A strong foundation for long-term career development in software engineering
