As an iOS Software Engineer at Nextdoor, you’ll join a focused team of developers, product managers, and designers who are passionate about using technology to cultivate a kinder world where everyone has a neighbor they can rely on. We are a small team of mobile engineers that work on app infrastructure and features to deliver our values to our members. Your responsibilities will include:

• Participate in in-person Nextdoor events such as trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and team building exercises
• Build in-person relationships with team members and contribute to Nextdoor’s company culture

• 2+ Years of experience in a Mobile Development role
• Expertise in Swift or Objective-C and Xcode IDE including the build system
• Robust knowledge of iOS development ecosystem as a whole including system libraries
• Experience with building complex, high-quality iOS applications, and strong knowledge of iOS app design principles, patterns, testing, and best practices
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong desire to learn about new technologies and systems
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic startup environment
• Eagerness to explore and apply AI and emerging technologies to reimagine how work gets done

• Experience writing automated tests for iOS applications
• Experience with accessibility features on iOS
• Experience with the Combine and TCA frameworks

The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $130,000 to $160,000 on an annualized basis, or potentially greater in the event that your 'level' of proficiency exceeds the level expected for the role. Compensation may also vary by geography.

We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.

Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
