Software Engineer Intern role is an educational opportunity for an engineering student to work alongside senior software engineers.
You will work in a horizontal systems team supporting the agile scrum teams in implementing and maintaining features and automated tests, create proof of concepts for new features / design options.

Job Description

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Work with fellow team members closely to establish proof of concepts, implement functionalities and automated tests, diagnose bugs and verify the solutions
  • Take part in maintaining high quality technical documentation
  • Follow guidance of senior team members
  • Break down problems and estimate time required for the tasks
  • Be familiarized with the internal GEHC processes and tools used

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Ongoing university studies in Computer Science
  • Availability for working min. 24 hours during a working week
  • Knowledge of one or more major object-oriented programming languages
  • Linux/Unix experience
  • Attention to detail, including code quality, testability, maintainability, and documentation aspects
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good team worker
  • Completes assigned tasks on time and with high quality.
  • Interest in learning more about software technology, healthcare solutions and advanced visualization topics
  • Ability to work from the GE HealthCare's Váci Greens office in hybrid fashion (2 days/week in office)

Desired Characteristics

Knowledge in any of the areas below will be considered a positive differentiator for the candidate:

  • Experience with Golang, TypeScript, Playwright, GORM, Axios, Redux
  • Experience with containerization (docker, kubernetes), micro-services, rest and cloud technologies, CI/CD and Test Automation
