About these internships:

We are looking for highly talented and motivated interns to join one of three departments at Cognira: QA, Front-end, or Back-end.

Department 1: Quality Assurance (QA) 

Goal: Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of Cognira’s platforms, including PromoAI.

Projects:

1️⃣ Forecast Metrics Validation and Reliability Analysis Framework

• Validate and analyze forecast metrics across promotion hierarchies.
  
• Detect metric discrepancies, analyze mismatch propagation, and visualize trends via dashboards.
  
• Technologies: Node.js, Next.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Power BI, Git/Bitbucket
  

2️⃣ Next-Generation UI Automation Framework for PromoAI

• Modernize the UI automation framework for scalability, configurability, and stability.
  
• Integrate with CI/CD pipelines, optimize execution speed, and migrate test assets.
  
• Technologies: Python, Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, Jenkins, Docker, Git, Allure
  

Department 2: Front-end Development

Goal: Build user-facing platforms and intelligent tools for employees and developers.

Projects:

1️⃣ People Management Platform

• Centralizes HR functions such as performance tracking, engagement, and analytics.
  
• Optional AI features: Time-off nudges, sentiment analysis, HR chat assistant, retention risk prediction.

2️⃣ DevConnect

• Internal developer forum and mentorship platform.

3️⃣ Configurations Studio

• Intelligent platform to manage static configuration files safely and efficiently.

• Tool for visualizing component dependencies, detecting dead code, and improving architecture understanding.

Department 3: Back-end Development

Goal: Build scalable, reliable, and intelligent backend services for internal and external use.

Projects:

1️⃣ State Reachability Verification

• Model-based system to verify whether a target state can be reached by a sequence of actions.
  
• Technologies: Scala, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes, Svelte/React
  

2️⃣ Natural Language Query Interface for Logs

• Converts natural-language queries into structured searches for logs.
  
• Technologies: FastAPI / Scala, OpenSearch, LangChain + GPT / LLaMA-3
  

3️⃣ Distributed Rate Limiting Solution

• Build a scalable rate limiting service for PromoAI with observability and low-latency enforcement.
  
• Technologies: Scala, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana
  

4️⃣ Smart Monitoring & Incident Assistant

• Monitors logs and metrics, correlates anomalies, and summarizes incidents with AI.
  
• Technologies: Scala + Akka HTTP/FastAPI, OpenSearch, Prometheus, PySpark, Pandas, GPT-based AI

Department4: Devops

1️⃣ Azure Infrastructure Automated Disaster Recovery

Design and implement an automated disaster recovery solution for Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) environments.
Build workflows to orchestrate failover and restore processes for clusters and workloads — both intra-region and cross-region.
Focus on minimizing downtime, ensuring consistency for stateless and stateful workloads, and integrating monitoring and alerting for DR readiness.

Optional Extension: Expand recovery automation to include Azure Databricks workspaces, enabling end-to-end resilience for analytics and data workloads in disaster scenarios.

Technologies: Azure, Kubernetes, Argo CD, Git

You will be part of a high-growth software company. Our program was designed so interns can grow their skill sets, do meaningful work, and have a lot of fun along the way!

• Over the course of the internship, you will be exposed to a wide range of Cognira’s tools, techniques, and technologies and have the opportunity to gain credible experience and learning
• This internship will entirely be in-person for you to get an in-depth experience of the company's culture and be more involved throughout your tenure.
• Duration: 4 - 6 months.
