What you’ll do

  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS): Core skill for designing, developing, and deploying SSIS packages to perform ETL (Extract, Transform, Load). 

  • SQL & T-SQL: Essential for writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, manipulate, and load data. 

  • Data Warehousing Concepts: Understanding data models (like star schemas), fact and dimension tables, and best practices for data integration. 

  • Performance Tuning: Ability to optimize SSIS packages and SQL queries to ensure efficient data processing and high performance. 

  • Error Handling & Debugging: Skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within SSIS packages. 

  • Database Design: Familiarity with logical and physical database design principles. 

  • C#/.NET: Useful for developing custom transformations and script tasks within SSIS packages. 

  • Related Microsoft Technologies
    SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS): Knowledge of SSAS, especially for processing cubes and OLAP (Online Analytical Processing).
    SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS): Experience in generating reports using tools like Matrix and Table controls.
    SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS): Proficiency with the tool for managing SQL Server databases and executing queries. 

  • Soft Skills & Concepts
    Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: To address complex data challenges and design efficient integration solutions.
    Attention to Detail: Crucial for ensuring data integrity and accuracy in ETL processes.
    Communication Skills: To collaborate effectively with technical and business teams.
    Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Understanding the overall process of software development, from design to deployment.

  • Cloud Transformation: Knowledge on cloud computing with the area's like GCP, Azure & AWS. 

  • Hands on experiences in Migrating to cloud with the above cloud computing skills.
     

What experience you need  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years expertise working with SQL Server, SSIS(ETL Process & Cloud computing

  • Database skills, Performance tuning & Code Analysis

  • 5+ years experience working with software design and Java and Javascript programming languages

  • 5+ years experience with software testing, performance, and quality engineering techniques and strategies

  • 4+ years experience with Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure

What could set you apart

  • Self-starter that identifies/responds to priority shifts with minimal supervision

  • UI development (e.g. HTML, JavaScript, Angular and Bootstrap) 

  • Experience with backend technologies such as JAVA/J2EE, SpringBoot, SOA and Microservices 

  • Source code control management systems (e.g. SVN/Git, Github) and build tools like Maven & Gradle.

  • Agile environments (e.g. Scrum, XP)

  • Relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL)

  • Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and Github)

  • Developing with modern JDK (v1.7+)

  • Automated Testing: JUnit, Selenium, LoadRunner, SoapUI
