Fortanix is looking for a Software Engineer III to join our Key Insight team in Bangalore. In this role, you will build backend systems in Rust and design, develop, and maintain our observability platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our cloud security solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Turn product requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans.
- Build and run backend microservices and REST APIs for our observability platform.
- Analyze and fix performance and scalability issues in distributed systems on confidential computing.
- Design and evolve database architecture for scalable, reliable data access.
- Drive high code quality through reviews and a strong focus on stability and security.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Is proficient in building backend systems in Rust
- Has strong backend experience with distributed systems, microservices, and REST APIs.
- Understands observability concepts such as monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing.
- Has experience with database architecture, scaling, and optimization.
- Has worked with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Is familiar with CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Communicates clearly and solves problems effectively

Skills Required
