Job Description Summary:
Rocket’s Data Modernization Business Unit helps customers manage, govern and realize the value of their enterprise data assets. As a Software Engineer-III you will have a pivotal role in enabling and shaping this transformation.
Position Reports to: Associate Manager, Software Engineering
Job Overview:
The Software Engineer-III designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new commercial products. This position is mainly focused on strengthening our product development team for web applications. The main area of work is the design and implementation of user interfaces with Angular and Typescript, also using and enhancing modern REST APIs that are implemented in Java. As a developer in the field of Data Intelligence and metadata business, you will also be challenged with concepts at different levels of abstraction and modelling, which is particularly demanding and trains your analytical skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Good understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, etc. acquired from education and/or experience.

Excellent programmer

Proficient at complex programming & knowledge of standard data structure and algorithms.

Knowing agile processes and can work in an agile team.

Make recommendations for each when solving technical problems.

Completes assignments in a timely manner and within quality tolerance.

Comply with coding and security standards.

Write modular, maintainable code.

Make the right trade-offs to efficiently solve problems.

Recognize impact software changes will have on systems.

Understand and comply with provided requirements, translate them into code.

Build subject matter expertise within the current product domain.

Delivers well structured, tested, and documented code within agreed-upon timelines.

Provide reasonably accurate estimates of work.

Participates in all required meetings and agile ceremonies.

Keen to provide test coverage to protect against future changes.
Required Qualifications:
-
Minimum 5 -8 years of software engineering experience.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
-
Able to present a track record of software development in the real world, expertise in Java Full Stack skills - Java, Spring boot, Angular, Microservices, REST API.

Mastery in Web programming technologies (HTML, CSS, Angular, Typescript/JavaScript) is absolutely necessary in this position.

Experience working with Web Services (REST).

Very good skills in Java to use and enhance our REST APIs.

Excellent code designing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of SQL and a relational database such as PostgreSQL.

Writes code faster than the average developer.

Outstanding quality with few bugs in generated code.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
