As a Software Engineer-III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, you are a key member of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you will work across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
- Develops secure, high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
- Participates in evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
- Engages in communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
- Designs and implements scalable Generative and Agentic AI solution using LLM, Prompt Engineering, RAG, Tools, MCP and Multi-Agent system.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on experience in designing and building production grade Generative and Agentic AI solution using Java
- Experience in programming Java, Spring Boot, ORM frameworks, JPA, SQL
- Experience in Prompt engineering and LLM Integration with multiple models e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google
- Exposure to AI framework and Platforms like SpringAI, LangGraph4J, LangChain4J, Amazon Bedrock,
- Experience in setting up Data pipeline, RAG for model embedding and learning
- Experience in building Tools / Functions using MCP for Agentic AI solution
- Practical experience with Cloud (AWS or Azure or GCP) and Containers (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. Strong understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.

- Exposure to distributed system and cloud technologies
- Prior hands-on experience with Python (secondary skill)
