Role Description:
This candidate will design, build and maintain APIs, applications and backend systems with a focus on performance, scalability and usability. They will work closely with product managers, designers and key stakeholders across the company to implement new features that address both product goals and internal and external customer needs. Candidates can prioritize effectively, develop APIs, applications and backend systems from the ground up, navigate ambiguous problem domains, grow the team via mentorship and have a consistent track record of high performance and delivery.
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience and a proven track record of shipping successful projects
You are passionate about building large scale applications and systems in a cloud native environment (preferably AWS)
You have a strong command of multiple languages (preferably TypeScript/JavaScript and Go and/or Java)
Are comfortable jumping between backend and frontend systems
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining a high quality code base, and consistently delivering challenging projects on schedule with high quality
Ability to collaborate/compromise to get to the best, most efficient outcome
Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders on the goals and deliverables
You are curious, have humility and are open to learning
Preferred Qualifications:
Fintech experience is a plus
Ability to perform in a fluid environment with high autonomy
