As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, Core Banking Technology team you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities

  • Play a part in setting the roadmap and overseeing the day-to-day management of platform/environment management, setting strategies and overseeing the public cloud resources, provisioning, optimization etc.
  • Maintain deep understanding of the technical aspects of platform and provide operational leadership to the engineering and product team.
  • Implement robust processes and operations dashboard to monitor the platform performance, user feedback and adherence to service level agreements (SLA), resiliency and key operational metrics in real-time.
  • Develop strong partnership with controls, technology risk management, architecture and compliance to understand the firms requirement and influence/contribute to the maturity of the firms capabilities.
  • Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Hands on experience in public cloud - AWS, Kubernetes.
  • Hands on experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platform - Terraform
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s): Python, Golang
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Hands on Devops expereince
  • Certifications in AWS or Kubernetes or Terraform
