Software Engineer II

Role Summary

We are looking for a Software Engineer I / II to support the design, development, and integration of modern software applications and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in Python development, APIs, cloud platforms, and collaborative software engineering practices. Exposure to AI/GenAI technologies and cloud-native development is highly valued.

This role is suited for engineers with foundational to intermediate experience who are eager to grow in backend engineering, AI integration, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable backend applications and API services using Python.
• Develop and integrate AI/GenAI-enabled capabilities into enterprise applications and workflows.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and manage structured/unstructured JSON data processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cloud-based solutions on Azure and/or AWS.
• Participate in system design discussions and contribute to technical solutioning.
• Implement secure, reliable, and maintainable software engineering practices.
• Support deployment automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and engineering standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, especially in AI/GenAI and cloud engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree holder
• 3–5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python development.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and JSON-based integrations.
• Hands-on exposure to AI and Generative AI technologies or integrations.
• Experience working with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with GitHub, branching strategies, and collaborative development workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI frameworks or LLM integrations.
• Knowledge of FastAPI, Flask, or Django frameworks.
• Exposure to Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or similar tools.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployments.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with vector databases or AI search technologies.
• Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
