Software Engineer II positions offered by Latitude AI LLC (Palo Alto, CA). 

What you’ll do: 

• Help design and implement the offboard L3 map store and map build pipeline to ingest collected map data
• Apply updates to highway maps based on the needs for expansion or detected changes
• Develop rigorous software products within various software programs such as C++, Python and Java
• Collect map data while working on storage systems
• Be responsible for fusing and mining data while integrating into a cloud-based service
• Utilize complex software in resolving issues that may arise
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand needs and define requirements and interfaces

What you'll need to succeed:

• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field 
• Requires 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience performing web application design and development in Java, Python and C++
• Requires 2 years of experience:
  • Designing and building scalable end to end automated testing infrastructure and solutions; and
  • Debugging large scale systems
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree in the aforementioned fields and 2 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a master’s or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and experience or graduate level coursework as stated
• Requires experience or graduate-level coursework:
  • Designing scalable solutions for big-data storage and retrieval, development and visualization of business-critical metrics

Position reports to Palo Alto, CA office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.

The expected base salary range for this full-time position in California is $215,125 - $225,480 USD. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Latitude employees are also eligible to participate in Latitude’s annual bonus programs, equity compensation, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
