As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Global Banking Platform (GBP), you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. The role seeks a candidate experienced in design, program, data and Implementation Strategies, Test Data Strategies, Automation Approaches, and Test Environment Plans.

Job responsibilities
- Plans, coordinates, and executes development of a tactical and strategic roadmap for test coordination both within GBP and with cross-product teams
- Provides clear, measurable objectives to ensure we remain on track.
- Leverages firm tools (JIRA) for clear communication on overall progress
- Displays technical acumen and critical thinking skills. Must have ability to fully understand defect status and communicate impact, drive closure, and coordinate sign-off.
- Proactively identifies and actively manages key risks, issues and testing escalations.
- Self-reflects on areas of personal growth/development and focuses on continuous upskilling
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Good knowledge in programming/application development experience utilizing Java, Spring Boot, REST, Micro Services, Cloud Native, DevOps and Test Driven Development
- Good experience in Cloud and Container based development (AWS, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of container based development and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
- Experience working in Agile teams, ability to focus and grasp business concepts
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- B.E/B.Tech degree or equivalent degree
- Exposure to cloud technologies like AWS
- Banking and payments domain background is a plus
- AWS Cloud Certification is a plus
