WellSky is seeking a Software Engineer II in the Kansas City metro to join our Blood Management Engineering team! This role will be responsible for design, development, documentation and testing of commercial software programs for WellSky.
A day in the life!
You will be responsible for the following:
- Perform all commercial software development duties, including but not limited to technical design, coding, and unit testing so that high quality commercial software releases are delivered to clients in a predictable and consistent schedule according to WellSky development processes
- Collaborate with solution team(s) to define requirements, conducting analysis, and solving problems
- Prepare technical documentation, conducting and participating in code reviews to ensure that commercial software code meets internal standards and follows industry best practices and the highest quality
- Offer technical direction and guidance to other development team members and assisting in managing development environments as well as installing and configuring commercial solutions
- Perform other job duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience with the following technologies:
- .NET and C#
- Angular
- Microsoft SQL server
- WCF framework or .NET Core API
- YAML
