Software Engineer II

As Software Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will lead advanced software development projects, enhance and maintain critical software components, and troubleshoot complex issues. Your expertise will optimize software performance and drive innovation. You will report directly to our Sr SW Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Duluth, GA location on a Hybrid work schedule. 

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core/.NET 6+  
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure  
• Develop microservices architectures and integrate with distributed systems  
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices  
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools  
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability  
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and agile ceremonies  
• Troubleshoot production issues and support system improvements 

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in design and development of software solutions 
• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Web API  
• Hands-on experience with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Service Bus, Key Vault)  
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices  
• Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns  
• Experience with SQL Server / Cosmos DB / NoSQL databases  
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) 

WE VALUE 

• Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in Computer Engineering, or another related field. 
• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging systems  
• Exposure to security best practices (OAuth2, Azure AD, managed identities)  
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Application Insights, Log Analytics)  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams  
• Domain knowledge in connected systems, IoT 
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes (nice to have)
