About the Role
Feature Development & Delivery
  • Design, build, test, and ship production features using C#/.NET (Core/8+) with moderate autonomy
  • Own features end-to-end, working with product and design teams to clarify requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Break down assigned work into well-scoped tasks and provide reliable estimates
  • Deliver high-quality code that adheres to established architectural patterns and coding standards

Code Quality & Testing
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using xUnit/NUnit frameworks
  • Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and learning from peer reviews
  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain code quality standards aligned with SOLID principles

Production Support & Reliability
  • Debug and resolve production issues within your service area with confidence and speed
  • Contribute to system reliability and performance optimization
  • Participate in on-call rotations as needed to support production stability

Team Growth & Collaboration
  • Informally mentor Software Engineer I team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and tooling

About You
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2-4 years of professional software development experience, primarily in C#/.NET
  • Strong understanding of OOP principles, SOLID design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
  • Proven ability to own features end-to-end with moderate guidance
  • Proficiency with ASP.NET Core (Web API/MVC)
  • Experience with Entity Framework Core or Dapper for data access
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
  • Proficiency with Git version control and automated testing frameworks
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services and microservices architecture
  • Understanding of REST API design patterns
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to break down complex problems into manageable tasks

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in an enterprise-scale microservices environment
  • Exposure to event-driven architecture or messaging systems (e.g., Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, Kafka)
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with observability tools and practices (logging, monitoring, distributed tracing)
  • Prior experience mentoring junior engineers in a professional setting
  • Background in mortgage, financial services, or another regulated industry
  • Willingness to mentor and support junior engineers with a proactive approach to learning and professional growth
