We are looking for a Software Engineer II to join Socure’s global engineering team and build scalable, reliable backend systems that power our identity verification and fraud prevention products.
What You’ll DoBuild and own backend services, REST APIs, and microservices from design through production.
Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable application-layer systems.
Work on distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, messaging, retries, and fault tolerance.
Partner with Product, Infrastructure, Data Science/ML, and Engineering teams.
Improve performance, reliability, observability, and engineering standards.
Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production troubleshooting.
2–4 years of backend software engineering experience.
Strong coding skills in Go, Java, or a similar backend language.
Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
Experience with REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and event-driven systems.
Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka/SQS/RabbitMQ, and CI/CD.
Strong ownership mindset and ability to take features/services end-to-end.
Good communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.
