We are seeking a talented and driven Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team at Diligent. In this role, you will be hands-on in shaping the future of our platform by designing and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing microservices that power our SaaS solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and own secure, scalable backend services using .NET (C#), guiding technical decisions and evaluating trade-offs to meet reliability, performance, and cost goals.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) and distributed microservices on AWS.
- Develop responsive, performant, and reusable front-end components using React, collaborating closely with UX and Product teams.
- Own services end-to-end, including development, deployment, CI/CD integration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Implement AWS serverless and cloud-native patterns (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, S3, RDS, etc.).
- Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping, while critically reviewing outputs to ensure quality and safety.
- Advise on appropriate AI use, including high-level model concepts, prompt patterns, and ethical and privacy considerations.
- Collaborate with Product, Security, DevOps, and other engineering teams to align on features, deployment strategies, and compliance requirements.
- Coach and mentor peers on engineering best practices and AI-augmented development workflows.
- Improve system observability, resilience, performance, and developer productivity.
- Document designs, technical decisions, and operational practices, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- 5–7 years of agile software engineering experience with strong expertise in .NET (C#) for RESTful APIs and React
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and serverless/cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK or Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.).
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL or similar), including schema design and performance optimization.
- Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and API design best practices.
- Understanding of high-level LLM concepts (e.g., hallucinations, prompt sensitivity, context windows).
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping, with critical review of outputs.
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to mentor or guide peers.
