Join Guidewire’s Product Development & Operations (PDO) organization as a Software Engineer on the InsuranceNow product development team in Bangalore. You’ll help deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions for the global property and casualty insurance industry, focusing on operational excellence and transformative innovation. This is an onsite, full-time opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and a collaborative team.InsuranceNow is an all-in-one core, data analytics, and digital engagement system providing comprehensive insurance business functionality. We are expanding InsuranceNow product development to Bangalore, and as part of this expansion, we are looking for an engineer who will play a significant role in enhancing the product’s scope. If you don’t have a background in the insurance domain, don’t worry—our team includes many with deep insurance expertise who will help you ramp up as you contribute your engineering skills.
Job Description
What you'll do:
Analyze product requirements and translate them into functional definitions and software designs for the InsuranceNow product.
Develop product features and write automated tests, dedicating over 80% of your time to hands-on coding.
Contribute to the continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines for InsuranceNow services.
Maintain secure code and proactively resolve application security findings in collaboration with our security teams.
Triage and resolve code defects to ensure high-quality, reliable releases.
Support the scalability, availability, and data security of InsuranceNow’s product services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, QA, operations, and domain experts) to deliver product enhancements that drive measurable customer value.

What you'll bring:
2–3 years of experience using Java and object-oriented programming.
Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
Familiarity with Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Unit Testing, and related engineering practices.
Cloud services knowledge (e.g., AWS) is a huge plus.
Understanding of Single-Sign-On (SSO), SAML, and authentication/authorization concepts is a big plus.
Willingness to learn the insurance domain; prior insurance experience is not required.
